How weHeroines Was Born

A nonprofit built around a single belief. That every woman has a story worth telling. And that something extraordinary happens when she finally tells it out loud.

Some Things Don't Start With A Plan.

They Start With A Calling.

weHeroines began inside The School for Real-Life Heroines, where founder Susanna Liller introduced women to the Heroine's Journey framework — a way of seeing your life not as a series of random events but as a story. Your story. One where you are not the supporting character. You are the lead.

The minute women encountered that idea, something happened that nobody planned for.

They didn't want to leave.

They kept gathering — in classrooms, on retreat, in online sessions. And then outside of all of it. In restaurants and wine bars and living rooms and libraries. Around potluck tables. At an unforgettable evening called Bring Your Cake and Eat It Too — a declaration that you deserve to have everything you have been told to choose between.

It became clear that what was happening in those rooms was its own thing. Not a course. Not a program. A community. One that needed its own home.

Are You Still in the Audience Of Your Own Life?

Not because you are passive or afraid. But because nobody ever handed you the pen and said — this story is yours. You are the one who gets to write it.

We believe that the moment you say your dream out loud — in a room full of women who hear it and believe in it — it stops being hidden. It becomes real. You are not just sharing words. You are introducing your dream to the world and inviting everyone listening to help you grow it.

We believe that one woman's courage fills the hearts of every woman in the room. That the struggle is as important as the triumph. That the pivot is part of the path. That you have been here before — you have done hard things and made something beautiful — and you can do it again.

And we believe that when women step fully into their own stories, the world becomes a better place. Not just for them. For everyone around them.

You Found Us For a Reason

If something is coming to life in you as you read this — a flicker of something you recognize, something that has been waiting for you to awaken — That is your fire waking up.

You are feeling a calling. A pull to live bigger. To stop watching and start writing. That is not a coincidence either.

That voice inside you is finally ready to say out loud your story.

Be Part Of What Makes Her Possible.

Your support doesn't just fund a mission. It changes a woman's story. It becomes part of her story. Not as a footnote. As a turning point. The moment someone believed in her before she fully believed in herself.
