The Fall Equinox Threshold

On the one day of the year when light and dark stand equal, we stand before a door of our own — and choose, with open eyes, which way we're facing.

What to Expect

The day before, you'll choose the one Threshold you've been standing in front of, unmoving. On the equinox itself, you'll stand before a closed door, name what's stopped you, and find what's underneath it. When you're ready — and only when you're ready — you'll open the door and step through.

How It Works

We'll send you a confirmation email with your guided prompts to help you land on the one thing you've been standing in front of, a threshold you have yet to cross.

Day 1 — September 21. Ready with your one threshold? Now grab a pack of Post-its (any size) and a Sharpie. Today we confront those negative voices in our head.

We're going to write down the fears we hear when we think of crossing the threshold. Our Threshold Guardians love to make us think that we are not smart enough, young enough, or that this is not a priority to work on. Each fear written on its own post-it. Keep the post-its in a safe place for tomorrow.

Day 2 - Fall Equinox — September 22. Choose a room that has a door opening into the room. Stand outside the room, facing the closed door.

Name what's stopping you. On sticky notes — the fears, the doubts, the "I can't because." Place them on the doorframe or the wall surrounding the door.

Find what's underneath. Look at each one and ask: what's the positive underneath this fear? Write it on a fresh sticky note and place it on the door itself, as if it has already happened.

Decide. Today, day and night are equal — and so are your two choices. Two worlds, the one where you stay and the one where you cross the threshold.

Opening the door isn't required. Staying isn't failure. Just look clearly, and choose.

If you're ready — open it. Step over the threshold, carrying the stickies on the door with you into the room ahead. Leave the rest behind. You can throw them away later.
